The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Efficiency Unit, has awarded New Digital Noise to launch a virtual youth community in support of the Shanghai Expo 2010. NDN is tasked to create an integrated marketing and communication plan to engage with Hong Kong residents aged between 15 and 24. From planning for execution, creative development, design, preparation, and production, to media consultancy and placement, NDN will utilize its network and reach to raise local young people’s awareness of Shanghai Expo 2010 through social network games, Facebook groups, microblogging, and workshops.
The project is to launch in May 2010 with an expected group of 100 local students to visit Shanghai Expo this summer and act as the Youth.gov.hk Ambassadors to share their experiences (in the form of short text messages, photos or videos) on the tour. Further support and collaboration to be planned with Education Bureau and Information Services Department.
