The Brief
The Hong Kong Jockey Club commissioned New Digital Noise to help branch into the mobile app market to boost brand recognition and HKJC interest.
The Solution
The CNY 2010 HKJC iPhone app featured videos and a detailed analysis for each zodiac in the Year of the Tiger. Famous feng shui consultant, Mak Ling-Ling, gave pointers on how to augment the user’s luck and what to be wary of.
Champion horses and jockey information were also available for download.
The app was promoted via Hotmob banner ads on their affiliated networks – Hong Kong Movie, HK Toolbar and Leisure Guide.
The Result
The app was a popular feature over the Chinese New Year holidays with many users feeling auspicious thanks to all the tips.
