The Brief
SmarTone-Vodafone commissioned New Digital Noise to create a Facebook application to highlight the reach of its network and reward its consumers.
The Solution
A marketing campaign on Facebook was launched that highlighted different areas of Hong Kong that SmarTone networks. New Digital Noise designed a Facebook application that utilised Social Media Broadcasts’ new viral marketing tool. The tool tracked the amount of participants, collated participant data and virally marketed the campaign on Fan Wall and friend News Feed.
The campaign operated a voting system, wherein fans voted on three possible locations (highlighting SmarTone’s reach across the region). The total votes were tallied and the 1000th, 1500th and 3000th voters won a smartphone.
Participants could track votes by scrolling over their choice to show who was of like mind.
