The Brief
Twinings wanted to create a Facebook Fan Page to highlight its products and events, as well as encourage an open dialogue with Fans.
The Solution
New Digital Noise planned a 2 phase social media roll out for Twinings.
App 1: Afternoon Tea Break
App 1 is an introduction and induction into Twinings, providing a Thought of the Day, a tea recommendation and Twinings’ latest news and promotions.
App 2: Sweepstakes
App 2 encompasses 2 sweepstakes. The first is a daily draw wherein Fans can win a limited edition Royal Wedding 2011 Twinings tin. Instant winners are drawn to 20 December 2011.
The second sweepstakes is a Grand Draw that gives users a chance to win a Burberry $10,000 gift voucher, 1 of 5 Burberry $1,000 gift vouchers or 1 of 300 boxes of Twinings tea. Users simply purchase $30 worth of Twinings products, complete an eForm over the Facebook app and wait for the big draw on 12 February 2012.
NDN offered Twinings exclusive revolutionary technology that allows mobile access to Facebook applications. Users could scan a QR code displayed in TVCs broadcast on Hot Media Solutions’ McDonald’s channel, muteHD.
